1. HOW CAN I 3D PRINT MY OWN DESIGNS?
The 3D Printers in the Innovation Labs are available to all students. To print your own designs, schedule a consultation with our staff at firstname.lastname@example.org. Staff can provide assistance with:
- Prepare the design for printing.
- Selecting a printer and material.
- Provide estimated supply costs.
2. WHERE CAN I GET A DESIGN TO PRINT?
There are a variety of different communities of people who contribute thier ready-to-print designs. Please see the Download Pre-Made Designs section of our labs page for a list of popular site with thousands of available designs.
3. WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE ELECTRONICS KITS?
Each of the electronics kits has strengths depending on your intended projects. Each of the Arduino and Raspberry Pi based kits provide all of the components and materials needed to get started. The library also houses various books and ebooks outlining various projects.
4. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO 3D PRINT?
When you are ready to print, contact staff for a cost estimate.
Minimum Charge: $3.00 (20 grams & below) and $0.15 per additional gram
You may supply your own filament (approved by staff) for no charge printing services. Load/unload must be performed by staff.
4.1 DOES ANYTHING ELSE IN THE INNOVATION LABS COST MONEY?
Nope, everything in the labs is free to use with the exception of the 3D printer filament.
